NEW YORK, NY - People in one New York neighborhood are swearing they witnessed a miracle. Surveillance video captured a scary moment that is every parent's worst nightmare. A seven-year-old girl with autism fell from a fourth story window, hitting the pavement below. Incredibly, she gets up!

A neighbor, 13-year-old Daniel Castro, heard the thud and thought it was someone throwing trash outside, until he heard her cries. Castro helped her inside while his mother called police, saying, "I had to go through my window, and when I seen her, she was limping, she was very weak. So what I did was I put her on my arm, and I brought her to the house."

The seven-year-old, autistic girl is described as "non-verbal" and friends think she may have crawled out the window trying to reach a cat.

Family members took the girl to the hospital and she is in stable condition. Police are investigating but no charges have been filed against the parents or any other caretaker. Time will tell if her caretaker is lucky enough to escape charges, the same way she escaped serious injury.
