LOS ANGELES - A crazy high-speed police chase in California turned into a fancy Hollywood stunt show.

The chase went on for about an hour and thirty minutes through the streets of L.A.

It all started when a couple of burglary suspects tried to make a slick getaway from cops in the rain with a passenger riding shotgun in a drop-top convertible.

The driver is seen on helicopter video doing donuts in the middle of the road.

At one point the driver manages to slide out of a dangerous traffic jam, avoiding a head-on collision with another car.

A TMZ bus even tries to put the brakes on these guys, blocking their car on the highway, but neither of them were ready for their close-ups, yet.

However, the money shot was when cops popped the daredevil duo in true California fashion with dozens of on-lookers snapping selfies.
