HOUSTON – Some Houstonians could be having a gas problem.

The Houston City Council thinks that up to 370,000 CenterPoint Energy customers might have been overcharged for their natural gas service. So, how much money we talking about here?! Up to $15.7 million annually.

The city started snooping around CenterPoint’s natural gas rates back in July. They say that the company is understating its revenues and overstating its cost.

CenterPoint says it’s not overcharging and that it’s working with the city to resolve the matter.

Hopefully the truth does come out and it’s not just a buncha hot air!
