HOUSTON - Grayson Reed has been patiently waiting for his opportunity to return to the football field this year.

"I've been doing therapy, and they say it's going good," Reed said. "I'm excited to get back."

One of the top offensive lineman in Texas, Reed has been recovering from an off-season ankle injury.  The Cy Creek senior knows he can still make an impact this season.

"When I'm on the football field, I feel confident and comfortable because I know that's where I need to be, that's where I belong," Reed said.

Reed also excels in the classroom, a feature that helped make so many colleges recruit him, but he's already made up his mind.

"I committed to Texas A&M University because of the education part, and also it's really close to home, so that made it awesome."

Reed says he particularly likes math classes because of his skills with numbers.
