SE HOUSTON -- A close call for two police officers after their patrol car was riddled with bullets. Police tell us the officers were patrolling on the southeast side when all of a sudden they heard gunshots.

As they turned onto Clover Street the gunshots stopped for a moment before a second round was fire,  right at their patrol unit. The passenger side window was struck. Fortunately, the officer in the passenger seat was not hurt.

Police have detained two men they found in the area, along with another car that had bullet holes in it.

No word if the men were shooting at each other or intentionally aimed at the officers.
