OKLAHOMA CITY, OK– A pooch in Oklahoma City is lucky to be alive.  “Reagan” fell into a frozen-over pond, and remained stuck in the water for nearly two hours.

“I think it is a miracle,” says the 80 pound pup’s owner, Cecilia Savage.

Savage says Reagan was struggling in the water, trying to grip onto the ice with her teeth.

“It was freezing cold, I was just afraid. She couldn’t get out of the ice, I knew hypothermia would set in if we couldn’t get her out quickly,” said Savage.

The rescue effort was a challenge, because Reagan fell in roughly 20 yards off the shore.  But finally, emergency crews were able to use a zodiac boat to get to the dog, and pull her to safety.

Reagan walked away with nothing more than a swollen mouth.
