Family of five finds house on fire; car missing

HOUSTON — A family of five returned to their home in blazing flames early Sunday morning.

According to the Houston Fire Department, the fire started around 2 a.m. near North Loop and Leffingwell Street.

When the family returned, the home was completely covered in flames as the fire burned through the roof.

The family reported that one of the vehicles had been stolen, and the house was possibly set on fire shortly after.

HFD Arson is investigating.
