MINEOLA, TX -- A former teacher hoping to represent Texas District 9 on the State Board of Education is making some serious waves but the voters don't seem to mind. Mary Lou Bruner used her Facebook profile to voice her opinion on several issues including climate change and dinosaurs but her comments getting the most attention were about President Obama.

In a post that has since been removed, Bruner claimed President Obama was a closet homosexual and was sensitive to gay people because of his past in male prostitution.

The comments have a lot of people talking and despite the fall out, Bruner says she stands by all of her statements. Her beliefs obviously aren't alarming to many people, Bruner won 48% of the votes in Tuesday's primary election. There will be a runoff election in May.
