CLEVELAND, Ohio – With not much playing time in Cleveland, Johnny Manziel has apparently found the time to be the life of the party.
The Internet is a buzz as news spreads that a fan got a little too close for comfort to Johnny football late Friday night.
Witnesses say things got out of hand and quickly escalated into an all out brawl at the high-end apartment complex, ‘Metropolitan at The 9.’
Cleveland Browns fan, Chris Gonos, says he was at a party for his brother’s birthday and was going up to his room.
While waiting for the elevator, he spotted Johnny and approached him.
A police report says Chris Gonos told Manziel, ‘I’m the biggest Browns fan ever, I love you, I want to give you a hug.”
When Gonos says he went in to score a handshake or hug, Manziel’s entourage tackled him and all hell broke loose.
According to 33-year-old Gonos, he suffered bruising and a head injury and even claims Manziel sucker punched his brother.
Police showed up but no one was arrested. The Browns say they’re gathering information but admit the time of the incident is concerning.
The Friday before a game? Maybe Johnny ‘footbrawl’ should have been studying a play book. No entourage needed.
