awningCYPRESS, TX – Your first instinct when a storm moves in is to take cover. That’s what two families did when they got caught in a storm in Cypress. But they got caught in a much bigger mess.

The winds from the storm were so strong they blow over a gas station awning. The roof fell on top of the vehicles.

Luckily, no one was hurt. One woman was taken to the hospital after she suffered a panic attack.

Things could have been a lot worse had the gas station between open to the public. The manager says it was just days away from its grand opening, but that will now be delayed until crews clean up the accident and put up a new awning.
