BRANDENBURG, GERMANY – The Cookie Monster taught us lot’s of useful information when we were young; like “C is for cookie”. But if you go ask a Neo-Nazi, they might just tell you “C” stands for child propaganda.

German police were nowhere near Sesam-Strasse, when they spotted a man outside a school dressed up as the cookie monster and handing out Neo-Nazi circulations to kids! Now that’s not your typical cookie-cutter racist!

The monster at the school, 31-year-old Steffen Lange, was promptly arrested, along with another neo-nutcase accomplice. But according to police in the German state of Brandenburg, this isn’t the first time the lovable Muppet was linked to Nazi like material in Germany.

According to Deutschland cops, even though the cookie eating fanatic is no fascist, some far right extremists use his image to help recruit children. Police, referring to this evil ideology, say, “it’s an attempt to make it seem harmless and every day and perhaps something a bit fun and a bit rebellious.”

But Germany, and the rest of the world, know all too well that there’s nothing harmless about hate, so let’s all hope this crummy use of a beloved character is stopped.

European cops now know what to look for. Bad news for the Neo-Nazis out there, but that’s just the way the cookie crumbles!
