LOS ANGELES, CA – Who says swimming is good for you?

One swimmer — turned hors d’oeuvrve — proved that a dip in the ocean can really bite.

In Los Angeles, the swimmer was hospitalized after a great white shark took a chunk out of his meaty parts — his torso.

Apparently, a fisherman was trying to reel in the seven-foot shark…

The shark stayed on the hook for about 45 minutes, but got agitated and started thrashing around in the water.

So when the innocent swimmer glided by, the irritated shark chomped down.

Luckily, rescuers were able to save the swimmer who’s now in stable condition.
