MONTGOMERY COUNTY - Houston, it's almost flu season but another sickness we should be extra cautious about-- hand, foot and mouth disease or HFMD.

Two cases have been confirmed at an elementary school in Montgomery County.

HFMD is a contagious disease caused by different viruses and causes fever, body rash and blisters around the mouth. HFMD spreads through  direct contact with a person's nose, saliva, snot, blisters, stool or by touching contaminated surfaces.
