HOUSTON – Some people aren’t too happy with an “incident” at Jack Yates High School.

Apparently an administrator was displeased with how the young ladies of the student body were, well, showing their bodies.

Rumor has it the administrator called all of the girls into an assembly, and in addressing the school dress code said the girls were dressing like “hoes.” Needless to say, some took offense.

“That was the wrong terminology, you know, to address to a student. She was really unprofessional to me,” said parent Deborah Broussard.

HISD commented on the alleged mishap, stating “although the administrator had good intentions and was trying to instill pride and purpose in the students, her approach and tone were perhaps inappropriate and not approved by the district.

Some parents, however, thing the administrator’s choice of words were totally appropriate.

“Sometimes you have to use tough love to get to our children today. And I think that’s what it was, tough love. I love you enough to tell you I don’t want you dressing and looking like hoes out in the street,” said Mary Owens.

HISD insists this won’t happen again and apologized to anyone who was offended.

These are teenage girls, after all.
