HOUSTON, TX - Sometimes, warning bells and whistles are not enough. Before you across those light-rail tracks, Houston officials want to make sure you hear their new safety campaign, after several recent accidents on rail lines. To drive their point home, METRO made these videos available to show the public what not to do when a train is coming. Officials urge people to stop, look and listen.

The people in the videos end up not getting hurt, but sometimes there is no walking away from these accidents. Now that there are more tracks around Houston, METRO wants folks to be more wary.

With this heavy new presence of the light rail in and around town ( an extension from 7.5 miles to almost 23 miles), make sure to steer clear of these trains before they "derail" you.
