HOUSTON, TX – Las Americas Newcomers School in southwest Houston is opening its doors and doing its part during the immigration crisis by enrolling immigrants from Central America. Las Americas is for students from grades 4 through 8.

With immigrants flooding into Texas, the school’s principal says she’s already seen an increase in enrollment.

Despite all the chaos at the border, it’s nice to see Houstonians can still show some of their southern hospitality.
