HOUSTON, TX – Houston may be a friendly town, but it turns out we’re not incredibly social.

At least as far as social ‘media’ is concerned.

We are the fourth-biggest city, but a San Francisco research group put H-Town 12th nationwide for small businesses on Twitter. Radius Intelligence says less than 2% of our ma & pops tweet.

Facebook is a different story though. Over 21% of small businesses Like that network (which puts us at number five nationally). And it’s hard to imagine how any company could operate without a website, but apparently 70% of Houston businesses don’t have a URL.

But that doesn’t mean ‘u r’ losers. Maybe it’s a good thing! Our social skills are just different.
