HOUSTON, TX – Merlyn “Yoli” Perez, 24, was shot to death last month as she was walking to pick up her daughter from school. Now Houston police are trying to paint a picture of the man who pulled the trigger.

HPD released a sketch of the suspect. He’s described as a Hispanic man in his 30’s, about 5’7″ tall. Police say he was wearing a turquoise jacket, blue jeans and black shoes, and was last seen getting into a gold-colored SUV.

The alarming part about the shooting, this wasn’t the first time this happened. Yoli reportedly told a family member that someone had fired shots at her two months earlier and she filed a police report for that incident. Unfortunately this time around, the bad guy succeeded.

As with any situation like this, if you know something give police a call at 713-222-TIPS.
