HOUSTON, TX – More details coming out about the Lone Star College student charged in Tuesday’s stabbings of 14 people on the Cy-Fair campus. We’re now finding out that 20-year-old Dylan Andrew Quick of Houston not only planned the attack, but also has fantasized about stabbing people since he was 8-years-old, about a year after he received a cochlear implant for a hearing impairment he had since birth.
And Harris County Sheriff Adrian Garcia says Quick may have discussed his violent plans in an online chat room.
Garcia says investigators removed a computer and other items from Quick’s house.
David Maida of Katy was one of the students who wrestled Quick to the ground within minutes of the attack. He says he kept asking Quick why he did it.
Quick and the college goes back about eight years to when his mother enrolled him in the library’s activities for teenagers.
Lone Star administrators shut down the campus yesterday, but classes resume today with high anxieties and worries about the victims.
A Harris County judge has ordered a psychiatric evaluation for Quick who remains in the Harris County Jail without bail.
