HOUSTON, TX – As a dozen slashing victims recover from the vicious attack on the Lone Star College campus, a dark, disturbing picture is emerging of the suspect.
We must warn you, the details of the search warrant affidavit sound like the plot from ‘Dexter’ or ‘Silence of the Lambs’.
Dylan Quick, 20, was born deaf but received a cochlear implant at age seven.
He struggled to learn English.
According to the affidavit, Quick told police just one year later, he started fantasizing about cutting off people’s faces and wearing them as masks. He says he also fantasized about necrophilia and cannibalism.
Quick was fascinated with serial killers like Hannibal Lecter.
Among his possessions, police found one of those creepy Hannibal Lector masks, the books ‘Hit List’ and ‘Hitman’, which deal with serial killings.
The affidavit says Quick told police he researched mass stabbings online, and that he had fashioned various objects like hairbrushes and pencils into weapons.
Police also found an animal dissection kit.
We may never know exactly what drove Dylan Quick to all this, but his arrest on aggravated assault charges may have stopped him from doing something much, much worse.
