MEMPHIS, TN – This next story is about a bad napster.

No, not Napster, the peer-to-peer file sharing site. But some guy, caught napping in a motel in Memphis, TN.

And not just any motel. It was the Lorraine, the site of the 1968 assassination of Martin Luther King, Junior, as he stood outside his room.

The motel is now the National Civil Rights Museum.

Cops say they found the man dozing just a few doors down from King’s room. He apparently took a wreath from outside King’s room, shattered a window with rock and broke into a couple of rooms before falling asleep.

Good thing it happened at night, because there’s a new study that suggests taking naps during the day can kill you. It comes from professors at the University of Cambridge.

The researchers say middle-age and older folks who nap an hour or more during the day are two-and-a-half times more likely to die from illnesses like bronchitis and pneumonia. And, the older you get, the more likely you’ll kick off.

But that goes against another study that suggests in some cases a good nap is as beneficial as a good night’s sleep.

Maybe some of those professors need to rise and shine and recheck their data.
