On this Day in Music history,  in 1978, The Bee Gees popularity had reached England when the group started an 18-week run at the number one spot in the UK. The group's soundtrack for the film Saturday Night Fever is one of the most successful movie soundtracks ever released.

On this day in 1984, Diana Ross was getting a another star on the Walk of Fame in Hollywood. Ross is the only female to have more than one star on Hollywood Boulevard. She also has one with The Supremes.

In 2013, a New Jersey judge sentenced Lauryn Hill to three months in jail for tax evasion.
