WEST BANK, ISRAEL – Six Israeli extremists are in jail following the revenge killing of Palestinian teen Muhammad Abu Khdeir.  Palestinian leaders say Khdeir was the victim of extremists incensed at the discovery of the remains of three Israeli teens who were kidnapped and killed in the West Bank last month.

Israeli leaders condemned the killing and promised to find the extemists.

Amid protests of hundreds of Arabs across Israel, Khdeir’s cousin, American teen Tariq Khdeir who was visiting family in Jerusalem, was arrested, jailed and released, but not before he claims he was beaten up by prison guards.

Anger over the teen killings and beatings continues across Israel. Stones thrown at police by masked Palestinian youths were met by tear gas and stun grenades. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called on the Israeli Arab leadership to remember that “experience has proved that in moments like these it is best to act calmly and responsibly and not with bluster and rashness.”

A terrible time in israel — or as they call it — another day.
