NEWPORT NEWS, Virginia - Neal Shytles is a homeless man in Virginia who had one wish. He wanted to spend Thanksgiving with a family.

His story, with the help of social media, has been shared all over the world.

Now, his wish is coming true!

Ashley Mclemore and her husband Cory, a military couple were the first ones to respond to Neal, and contacted him through the homeless shelter where he was staying.

They said they understand his story because being a military family, they moved around a lot too, and they realize spending holidays alone is no fun.

Now, they'll pick up their new pal Neal and take him to lunch the day before Thanksgiving. Then, they'll all spend Thanksgiving day together.

Really makes you stop and think about the impact a small act of kindess can have on someone. It's a story like this, that we're truly thankful for.
