LOVELOCK, NV – The weather: 21 below zero.

Days out in the wilderness: two.

Folks stranded: six.

All of them now safe from the Nevada Mountains: priceless.

Jay Glanton and his girlfriend, Christina McIntee, had taken their two kids and her niece and nephew out to play in the snow on Sunday, but they lost control of the car along the way, and ended up stuck in an embankment.

Glanton seemed to have survival skills down pat. He immediately built a fire and heated rocks to provide warmth in the car (their only shelter).

The two adults and four young children all walked away from the ordeal with only minor dehydration.
