NEW YORK, NY – New York Police have detained a 20-year-old woman they say left her baby abandoned in a stroller on a subway platform on Monday.

The horrific act was caught on surveillance video.

Luckily a 33-year-old woman saw the baby, all alone, and waited with her for twenty minutes, thinking someone would surely come back for her.

But when no one did she went to police.

The baby girl was taken to a hospital where she was examined and said to be healthy.

She’s since been placed in Child Protective Services.

Meanwhile, New York Police say a witness helped them track down the mother and instead of a subway ride, she took a car ride down to the precinct.
