LOGANVILLE, GA – A lot of people lose their wherewithal in crisis situations. But this is the story of a Georgia lady who kept her wits and channeled her inner tough guy.

Basically, when a man broke into the house, she scooped-up her 9-year-old twins and locked the three of them behind a bedroom door, a bathroom door and a closet door and hid-out in an attic crawl space.

Cops say the bad guy used a crow bar to pry through all the locks, but when he got into the attic, mom was waiting with her gun. She shot him several times.

Police say 32-year-old Paul Slater hobbled his way out of the house and down the street. Neighbors watched him until the cops showed up.
