HOUSTON, TX – How often do you stop at work to think “I wonder what my dog is doing right now?”

A new pet tech device gives dog owners a little piece of mind, and might just add a few years to their K9 lives.

It’s a collar device called Whistle. It works on a 10-day rechargeable battery, syncs with a free app on your mobile device, and keeps you in the know on how active your dog is (or in some cases isn’t) during the day.

The Association for Pet Obesity Prevention says an estimated 53% of dogs in this country are overweight. While pets of average weight live up to 2 ½ years longer, it just might be worth the $129 price tag.

But if that’s out of your price range, and your pet has a harder time getting up off the couch than you do… take a walk!!! No really… take them for a walk, you’ll both feel better.
