MINNEAPOLIS, MN – While most of you are recovering from your night of partying more than a dozen people in Minnesota are recovering from a blast and fire that tore through their apartment on New Year’s Day.

Fire fighters report being called to the blaze in a three-story building early on Wednesday.

Thirteen people were sent to the hospital with burns and trauma, six of those in critical condition.

No word yet on what caused the blast but the freezing temps up there made fighting the fire a little more difficult when the water froze and made icy working conditions.
