NEW YORK, NY – The New York Police Department is at the center of attention, again. This time, an officer shoots his parnter while responding to a call in Queens! Court documents say Detective Jay Poggi was showing his partner, Matthew Sullivan, the barrel of his gun—then somehow, it fired, shooting his partner in the wrist. Poggi rushed his partner to Jamaica Hospital.

When they got there, more cops showed up and found blood all over the inside of the squad car!

Guess what else they found? The smell of alcohol on Detective Poggi, who refused a breath-test by the way—so he was immediately arrested for DWI.

If getting shot by a fellow man in blue isn’t bad enough, would one feel even safer having him drive to the hospital—-after having one too many?!?!

A shot in the arm that sends one of New York’s finest to the emergency room is definitely a show stopper, but NYPD isn’t stopping here….their internal affairs department will have the next say.
