LONDON - One direction now has a new number which is four.  Why you ask?  It's because singer-musician Zayn Malik is heading in his own direction, away from the British pop music group.

His decision comes a week after taking a break from touring with the band due to stress. Sounds like it could be the little things in life he wants to do.

Zayn says he just wants "to be a normal 22-year-old who is able to relax and have some private time out of the spotlight."

The now four-member group supports Zayn's decision. On their website, they said, "we're really sad to see Zayn go, but we totally respect his decision and send him all our love for the future."

Sounds like everyone here is ending things on a good note.
