DAWSON SPRINGS, KY – Okay, we’re not just lifting a plot from Seinfeld for this story.

But in Kentucky, a former postal worker wasn’t feeling the whole “working” thing, so he stashed the mail he was supposed to deliver in his dead mother’s house.

How much mail? Almost 45,000 pieces.

William Brent Morse kept this up for two years; but now the hard hammer of the law is coming down.

He’s been ordered to pay back almost $15,000 in restitution to the residents who never got those Christmas cards from grandma and will spend six months in the federal pen, too.

And more good news to the people who missed out on their mail; everything that was recovered has now been delivered.
