WASHINGTON, D.C. – President Barack Obama is getting some flak for his comments about football and violence.

In an interview with ‘New Republic’, he admits that if he had a son, he’d ‘have to think long and hard’ before he’d let him play.

Now, wait a minute.

We all know the guy’s a huge football fan. He’s not knocking the sport, he’s just pointing out how dangerous it is.

We’re learning more and more about the tragic effects of concussions, too many head injuries, and the pain the players and their families suffer for the rest of their lives.

President Obama isn’t proposing changes, but he was asked his opinion on the matter, so he gave it.

And he brought up a good point about the inevitable.
