NEW YORK, NEW YORK – It was a gloomy day in Houston, but nothing like the weather the Northeast continues to get blasted with.

Like in northern and western Oklahoma, the latest storm is expected to drop 5 to 10 inches of snow across the region, and an arctic blast is expected to follow sending temperatures down to the teens.

People in Philadelphia woke up to snow, the first of three snowstorms forecasted this week dumped a few inches.

And the Big Apple is dealing with the first of the storms expected to hit this week. On the upper east side, crews cleared about eight inches of snow from the roads and sidewalks earlier.

According to flightaware.com, about 2,000 flights were canceled Monday.

This cold weather isn’t any fun; but that certainly doesn’t mean you can’t make the best of it.
