Sugar Land K-9 sniffs out more than 2,000 pounds of pot

SUGAR LAND, TX – A K9 with the Fort Bend County Narcotics Task Force made a big pot bust.

“Deputy Mike,” along with his human counterparts made the bust during a traffic stop on 59 north at University Boulevard in Sugar Land. The drugs were hidden in the bed of the truck, covered up with a camper shell. Authorities confiscated 149 bundles, weighing in at 2,357 pounds.

The driver, 29-year-old Jose Angel Ortuno-Gonzalez was arrested.
