SUGAR LAND - A high School football player has been charged with aggravated assault after being accused of stabbing his own father several times.

Investigators say it happened Monday after an argument at the 16-year-old boy's football practice at Clements High School.

Police say the argument continued at their home off Pecan Ridge Drive and say the teen pulled out a knife and stabbed his 45-year-old father multiple times.

The father was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital and we don't know his condition at this time.

The son is facing aggravated assault charges, but if his dad dies those charges will be upgraded.
