HONOLULU, HI – Sterling Ellis, 19, was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s disease. He’s going to undergo a bone marrow transplant when he gets back home to Houston. But before all that, he made a wish with the Make-A-Wish Foundation. It was to go and see Hawaii. And his trip ended up turning into the catch of a lifetime.

He went deep sea fishing about 15 miles off Kewalo Basin. He thought he was reeling in tune, but it was a lot more.

It took more than an hour, but in the end Sterling won; reeling in an 11 foot long, 760 pound marlin.

Now he’s heading home with one heck of a fish tale!
