COTTLEVILLE, MISSOURI – There’s some trouble brewin’ between coffee giant Starbucks and a small Missouri brewery called Exit 6.

Jeff Britton was shocked when he received a letter from Starbucks in response to chatter online about a beer called “Frappiccino.”

The letter says, in part: “As you probably know, Starbucks coffee is the owner of a number of trademarks, including the well-known Frappuccino trademark,” and goes on to ask him to stop using any labels similar to that word.

“When I got that letter, I had to laugh,” Britton said.

Especially since Exit 6 doesn’t even serve a beer called “Frappiccino.”
