HAVANA, Cuba -- Say "Hola" to Cuba! On Wednesday morning, President Obama announced a budding relationship with Havana.
“I believe that we can do more to support the Cuban people… After all, these 50 years have shown that isolation has not worked,” he said.
As decades-old tensions begin to ease between the two countries, the U.S. let-go of three Cuban spies and President Raul Castro freed Alan Gross, an American who was detained five years ago while setting up internet for the U.S. Agency for International Development.
Of course, not everyone thinks communication is bueno.
“All this is going to do is give the Castro regime... the opportunity to manipulate these changes to perpetuate itself in power,” said Republican Senator Marco Rubio from Florida.
At least we’ll get cigars.
