Wooden toys top Canadian kids Christmas lists

ALBERTA, CANADA – Parents already know what their little ones are hoping to find under the tree this Christmas, and more than likely most of those gifts require some batteries.

But a new twist on an old fashioned favorite is flying off the shelves in Canada.

It’s called Kendama and it’s the top toy in demand this Christmas.

It’s basically just an updated ball in a cup, but parents aren’t arguing because it’s nice to see kids unplug and use their creativity in a non-electrical way.

Keeping the season bright without the warming glow of electronic toys.
