High winds and blowing dust move across El Paso

NO WAIT WEATHER + TRAFFIC

HOUSTON (CW39) Tuesday brings another day of strong spring winds, potentially leaving parts of Texas watching for fire danger and areas of blowing dust.

Across the borderland this afternoon winds could increase anywhere from 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph, putting areas like El Paso and Dona Ana counties under wind advisory until Tuesday evening.

Along with the wind, heat proves to be a big factor. As temperatures are expected to remain 10+ degrees above normal Tuesday. In addition, humidity levels remain below 10 percent, keeping the Borderland under a fire weather warning.

Meteorologist Star Harvey spoke with Celina Quintana to find when calmer conditions will surface in the area.
