HOUSTON (KIAH) – It’s a situation most people hope to never experience, but it might happen to you one day. In the event your car stalls on a major freeway do you know what to do?

We spoke with Danny Perez with the Texas Department of Transportation to find out.

Safety is the top priority in this situation, so if you’re driving by someone that is stalled remember it’s the law to move over and slow down. If you see a police officer on the side of the road you must slow your speed down to 25 mph or move over an additional lane.
