CYPRESS CREEK, Texas (KIAH) -- The Harris County Precinct 4 Deputy Constable deputies and the Cypress Creek Fire Department spent some time Thursday putting out multiple vehicle fires.

Video captures shows the vehicle parked at an area Target in the 21400 block of Tomball Parkway. Thankfully, no one was injured. The fire is still under investigation.

HOUSTON (AP) — The Houston Astros and free-agent catcher Victor Caratini finalized their $12 million, two-year contract Thursday.

Caratini gets a $6 million salary each of the next two seasons and can earn $500,000 each year in performance bonuses for plate appearances.

A switch-hitter, the 30-year-old Caratini spent the past two seasons with the Milwaukee Brewers and batted .259 with seven homers, 25 RBIs and a .711 OPS in 62 games this year as William Contreras' backup. He committed only one error and did not have a passed ball in 58 games behind the plate.

A Houston rapper is out on bond after allegedly leading police on a high speed chase. Albert Walker Mondane, also known as rapper Sauce Walka, was arrested Wednesday. Authorities say he led Harris County deputies on a high-speed chase, topping speeds of 130 miles-per-hour. He ended up losing control and crashing during the pursuit. He was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.

A 15-year-old boy was killed moments after he got off his school bus in the Livingston area. DPS said the bus had its warning lights and stop arm extended, when an 18-wheeler plowed into a car that was sitting behind the bus. The big rig then veered off and hit the boy who was standing in a driveway. DPS says it’s too early in the investigation to determine if anyone will be charged. Livingston ISD says counselors will be available today (Friday) for anyone who needs them.

Houston will elect the oldest big-city mayor in the U.S. this weekend. Two candidates, both in their 70's, are trying to reach out to much younger voters. (The Associated Press)
